Website Development

Website Concept #1
This was our first concept for our website. It was hard organising the information on the page and it wasn't looking great so we switched to our other wireframe.

We prefer this concept with the longer page with all the information as we scroll down. We will use the lines as dividers between each section. The user will be able to scroll or click the links at the top of the page.

We changed the lines so that the rubbish disappears from the water as you scroll and the water changes colour from the toxic green to blue.

Added the map in to the 'get involved section'.

We decided to change the navigation of the website to a small bar across the top that can be fixed at the top of the page. It will also have the logos for LYC and sustainable coastlines. It looks cleaner and will be easier for the user to navigate.

Full website with fixed header navigation.

We needed to incorporate the idea of surfing more into our website so we incorporated this wee surfer, surfing down the page. We also added in pictures relating to the sections.

We also spaced out each segment a bit more so that on the screen, you can only see one section on the website so it looks cleaner. The line of the surfer needs to be thinner and arranged better so it doesn't interrupt the text.

After feedback in class, Phoebe noted that the map was difficult to tell which side was land or sea, so we just added a subtle, light green fade to the land side to make it easier to understand.

Final Development:

There a couple of minor changes to be made but its pretty much done :)
